How do I set up a Wix site?
1. Sign up to Wix using your university email address.
2. Take a look through the templates, once you have selected one, make a note of the template name. Bear in mind that you cannot change the template once you have started, so do not begin building just yet!
3. Decide on your site name for the end part of your URL – scpprojects.wixsite.com/[SITENAME]. This has to be 20 characters (including letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation) or less.
4. Once you’ve decided on a template and a site name, speak to the eLearning support team; either in a workshop or in the Teams space. Please provide them with your chosen template and site name. We will then set up your site for you and invite you as an editor.
If you have accidentally started building your website without speaking to the eLearning team, no need to panic! Speak to our team (either in a workshop or in the Teams space), and we can talk you through how to transfer ownership of your site to us. This needs to be done to avoid complications later in the submission process.
