H5P is a WordPress tool that makes it easy to create interactive content by providing a range of question types for various needs. You can design and create a number of interactive features that can be incorporated into your content to make it more engaging, support different learning styles or act as a formative assessment.
Questions
Questions are an excellent way of adding interactivity, testing knowledge, moving the narrative onto the next section or prompting students with cues. There are a range of question types that can be used. Which you choose depends on the context and the question you are asking. Short answer questions are good for getting students to consider concepts or information. All the question types will allow the student to check their answer, try again or see the solution, useful for checking learning or revision.
Below are examples of all of the different question types you can build using H5P.

This is another way to provide a set of questions which can be single or multiple choice, selection or open answer. Great for assessment.

If there is a set response to a question students need to learn, you can use Essay Questions which asks the students to provide a written response.
Personality Quiz
There is an option to build personality quizzes which you my want to use to get to know your learners better or help them to reflect on their own abilities.

Drag and Drop
You can use it as a simple matching game, where learners have to match the images with the words or you can ask learners to drag the words and drop them in the right place on a picture.
Drag and drop activities have many uses, from teaching a process, how a system works or separating different concepts into categories. It can be used for intellectually advanced concepts and is a great way to help learners absorb knowledge.

Fill in the blanks is a great teaching tool. A very simple and easy to prepare activity with high educational value. It makes reading and engaging with a long text enjoyable and educational. You can break the monotony reading exercises by having your students actively engage and test their knowledge.

Mark the word offers students the ability to identify core concepts, a specific word, or mistakes in a text.

Interactive Presentation
Slide decks can be made interactive to involve the student in the presentation, allowing them to test their understanding of the content and reinforce learning and add interest in an otherwise didactic method of learning.
Interactive Video
Record a video from a lecture and add quizzes and in-depth information along the way. Students get a more engaging video experience. It’s easy to add interactive tasks and no technical skills are required, you only need a browser.
By adding extra explanations that students may choose to see in the videos you create differentiated learning. Some students may choose to see in-depth information about the subject, whilst other students may choose to display extra explanations. Students who learn best by solving problems may choose to solve problems as they move along through the videos. This could be useful for patient discussions or learning.

Virtual Tour (360)
This is an example of Virtual Tour within H5P which uses 360 images (photographs). This could be useful for tours of hospitals, clinics or surgeries or anatomy explorations. By introducing a ‘sense of presence’ to learners, these interactions have the potential to develop greater empathy and deeper understanding. As such it can help develop an understanding of more complex subjects, theories, or concepts and provides a more active than passive learning environment which helps to embed learning.

360 Videos can be recorded using specialist cameras and integrated into VR environments. VR has been reported to improve learning by providing an immersive environment free from external visual distraction and is therefore a seemingly promising media for higher education teaching. VR is also very flexible as it lends itself to both classroom and distance learning and can accommodate interactive both animations and video.
The Insta360Pro camera was used to create 360/3D 6K definition (6400×6400 resolution; 30fps) video. Setting up of the Insta360Pro in the operating theatre was restricted to the foot of the operating table due to the anaesthetist being at the head of the table, with the surgical team members on both sides of the operating table. The camera was placed at surgeon eye height and operated remotely from across the room using a smartphone and the Insta360Pro app.

Audio Files
Students can record their voice, download the file and then send it to you for feedback. Whether it’s just for note-keeping, listening to their voice or as an assignment. Audio files and Recording could also be used for examples of handovers or consultations.

Students click on the audio play button, listen to the sample and type what they have heard. This would be useful for teaching listening and note-taking skills required for situations such as handover.
Speak the Words
Some words are notoriously difficult to pronounce. This asks students to record themselves reading the word and analyses the answer to provide a response.

Dialog Cards could be used to illustrate common questions from patients or provide definitions of technical terms.

Flashcards are useful in many cases, for instance in learning new words and expressions. Flashcards can be used to display an image and the user is encouraged to type in the corresponding piece of text. They are a really engaging way to allow learners to comprehend specific information. It adds gamification in learning and combines both pictures and text with feedback.
Flashcards could also be useful for formative assessment or revision.
Goal Setting
This is a great tool that allows learners to fill in their goals about the course they have taken, determine how they will achieve those goals, keep notes about their progress and also evaluate if they finally achieved their goals. On the last step, the student can generate a document with all the input and download it.
This could be useful for formative assessments or as structured note-taking

You can give your students a unique presentation of historical facts or thought sequences. Timelines help learners better understand and absorb details adding a visual path to stimulate both language and visual brain centers.
