Camtasia
Camtasia is more than just a screen recording tool. You can add interactivity, quizzing, annotations and more, as well as editing your videos on the timeline.
Request a licence for both Camtasia and Snagit.
You can self-enrol on the Using Camtasia in Your Teaching course via the Training Catalogue.
OpenShot video editor – depreciated in favour of Shotcut
We recommend this video editor for its relative ease of use and its multi-platform availability.
The official tutorial videos cover everything you will need to get started – the first three cover understanding the OpenShot interface and basic controls and the fourth covers trimming, slicing and splitting which will be useful for those looking to alter the length of videos, remove sections or add in other media.
Trim, slice and split. Change the length of recordings or insert other media.
OpenShot was created in 2008, in an effort to build a free, simple, open-source video editor for Linux. It is now available on Linux, Mac, and Windows.
