What is Camtasia?

Camtasia provides educators with a powerful yet user-friendly tool for creating effective educational videos that enhance student learning and engagement, without the need for extensive technical knowledge. It is an all-in-one screen recorder and video editor for both Windows and Mac users. Camtasia offers a variety of features, including:

  • Interactivity and quizzing
  • Annotations and animation
  • Video table of contents
  • Closed captions added directly to the recording.

How do I acquire Camtasia?

Read the University’s Guidelines for the use of Camtasia or request a licence.

You can also download a UoM template package to help you get started with Camtasia. When prompted, select Download then Open for the templates to be auto-installed into Camtasia.
