During semester 1 students will write an essay which counts towards the pass mark for tutorials. This essay will be submitted through the University’s plagiarism detection software, TurnItIn (TII) so that students have the opportunity to learn how the University checks work for possible cases of plagiarism. A submission area for this has been set up within the BIOL10000 tutorial unit in Blackboard > Assessment area (in the left hand menu) > Semester 1 Essay Submission Area – Plagiarism Software Introduction for Students.
